Sigma Zeta offers several awards to student members to encourage and foster scholarly activity and recognize academic scholarship, as stated in our mission statement above.
Founder's Cup Award
The Founder's Cup Award annually recognizes the chapter that is most active at both the local and national levels. Founder's Cup Award Applications must be submitted on or before the Thursday meeting at the National Convention.

Presentation awards are given for the best oral and poster presentations at the National Convention each year.

Chapter Honor Awards
The Sigma Zeta Honor Award is presented to one exemplary member of each nominating chapter annually at the National Convention. Chapter Honor Award Nominations must be submitted on or before the Thursday meeting at the National Convention.

Harold Wilkinson Distinguished Alumni Award
Awardees are selected by a local chapter in recognition of Sigma Zeta alumni that make significant contributions to the fields of science, mathematics, or computer science. Each awardee is recognized by the National Chapter annually at the National Convention. Nominations should be submitted prior to March 10 for announcement at the National Convention. The award is named after Dr. Harold Wilkinson (photo on left), who served as our organization’s first Executive Director from 1998 -2007 and as Historian from 2008-2013.

Sigma Zeta Research Awards are granted annually to support quality research by student members of Sigma Zeta. Students need to submit applictions by October 21 each year.
