Research Journal

The Sigma Zeta Research Journal is intended as a regular online publication collecting papers which showcase the research of undergraduate Sigma Zeta members. One or two issues will be compiled annually and published on the Sigma Zeta website. The Research Journal has been created to provide a home for research carried out by Sigma Zeta members which may not otherwise be published and would ordinarily be lost after the author graduates.  This will also provide potential authors with the experience of writing and submitting a paper as well as archiving their research work and allowing them to expand their CV or resume.

Instructions for authors can be found  here: Journal Instructions for Authors.  These instructions were created to allow submission of papers from all the disciplines under the Sigma Zeta banner though papers should be written for an interdisciplinary audience.  Regular calls for papers will be sent via the Sigma Seta mailing list and at the National Convention and papers can be submitted at any time. Following submission, manuscripts will be reviewed by the Journal Editor and one or two additional reviewers with review comments returned to the paper author in a timely fashion. If the paper is accepted, the author will be notified and the paper published online at the Sigma Zeta webpage alongside a brief author biography.

Undergraduate researchers who present at the National Convention and/or receive Sigma Zeta research grants are especially encouraged to submit though these factors are not required. The main requirements for submission are the primary researcher be a Sigma Zeta member at the time the research was carried out, the paper be written by the Sigma Zeta member, and the Research Advisor has approved the submission.   Queries on the journal can be addressed to the Journal Editor (Dr. Graeme R. A. Wyllie, Gamma Gamma Chapter) at wyllie@cord.edu
